During January and February, the boys and girls Ομάδες (Orthodox youth groups) of Sydney, as well as the men of the Greek Orthodox Christian Society, all held their annual camps at Mangrove Mountain, about 90 minutes north of Sydney. The boys camp took place over 15-19 January, with 50 boys attending along with 9 leaders. The program over 5 days involved a Divine Liturgy at Pantanassa Monastery, Bible studies, talks by guest speakers and various sports and games. This year’s Sunday School Camp was held on 24-26 September at Challenge Ranch in Somersby, about an hour north of Sydney. It represented the 10th year the camps have been running, accommodating children aged 10-12 from various Greek Orthodox parishes of Sydney as well as some students from scripture classes. This year, 83 students and 15 leaders attended, with the theme of the camp being "Sacred Sites".
