Theodoros Kolokotronis was the theme for the second presentation by the Greek Orthodox Christian Society for the 200th anniversary of the 1821 Revolution, which took place at the Orthodox Mission Centre, 217 Bexley Rd, Kingsgrove, Sunday evening, 28th March 2021. From the Fall of Constantinople to the Revolution: First Concert for 200th Anniversary of 1821

The first concert of the Greek Orthodox Christian Society for the 200-Year Anniversary of the Greek War of Independence took place at the Orthodox Mission Centre at Kingsgrove on the 28th of February at 7 pm. Synthema – Christ has made us free

On Saturday January 2, the Synthema (goal) of the Greek Orthodox Christian Society for 2021 was unveiled as "Christ has made us free" ("Χριστός ἡμᾶς ἠλευθέρωσεν"). This was presented by multiple speakers on the day due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place at that time. The synthema is taken from Galatians 5:1, and it invites us to reflect on what it really means to be free as Orthodox Christians living in the modern world. Beginning of new year for chanting school

On Tuesday the 16th of February 2021, the new year for Sydney School of Byzantine Music officially began at the building of the Greek Orthodox Christian Society, in Kingsgrove. The school, which was established by the late Mr Basil Stavropoulos in 2002, continues to train students of all ages in the art of Byzantine chanting. Mid-Year Winter Retreats

From Friday 13 July to Sunday 15 July, boys from the youth fellowships (Ομάδες) of Kogarah, Belmore, Earlwood and Parramatta held their mid-year retreat at Mangrove Mountain, north of Sydney. The highlight of this retreat was the Divine Liturgy Service held at Pantanassa Monastery, celebrated by Abbot Eusebios, along with his subsequent talk which left a lasting impression on the boys.
